A Moment for Food

Lately I've had some pretty crazy and good food. Starting backwards from today... Bacon and Sausage pancakes at the Purple Cow House of Pancakes in Maine. This is a picture. Yes, that's butter in a pool on top. These are even bigger than my head, and delicious.

Before that, we had Mascarpone stuffed strawberries at Nick's on Broadway in Providence.

Last weekend, I had a "garbage omelet" at The Wooden Spoon in Ashford, CT. It was "chef's choice" and had ham, onion, red peppers, and the most amazing, cream cheese. So good!

Finally, next door to the Wooden Spoon is the Concrete Factory, a farm stand and ice cream stand that has the best ice cream I have ever tasted (better than We-Lik-It in Pomfret, better than Graeter's in Louisville and Cincinnati, almost as good as the gelato in Venice). Their Coconut Cream Pie flavor is amazing, but the true test of good ice cream is the vanilla, and it is transcendent.
