mt auburn cemetery

On Memorial Day, Celine and I moved her stuff to a sweet new apartment in Allston, went for lunch (at yummy Sofra), and then walked around Mt Auburn Cemetery. It was a first for both of us and we were stunned at the care taken everywhere, and how every space was used. Our favorite part may have been trying out the names aloud, so old-fashioned. I'm sure by the time we left we had called up the ghosts of many a Maude and Olaf and Patience.

spilled milk

I was doing really well at my new job...
but still, isn't it cool, the pattern it broke in?

air conditioner door

This disturbs me more than it ought to, I think. Block a door permanently? For an air-conditioner? It's just not right.

Once they fill this little pond near our house we're hoping to teach Bowie to swim. She is suspicious of water though.

I took this picture in disbelief after much searching for the school of agriculture led to my being told that of course the building had the name on the front. Do you see it? Perhaps it is behind those ginormous trees along with the entrance?

my dog again

Being good at the park...

...and bad at home. (those are the contents of her kennel behind her, that she dragged out.)

play with your food

I was grating cheese for the taco pizza I was busy inventing...

...when I noticed the awesome pattern the grater's reflection was making on my arm.

Bowie brings her toys from all over the house. Maybe she was doing inventory.

kasey-lou's window

I can hardly tell what is reflection and what is window, and I was there!

I think I may have succeeded in making an ugly picture of something beautiful!
It was both raining and sunny when I came up from the library basement yesterday. I kept my eyes peeled for a rainbow and was rewarded with this end-to-end gloriousness. It followed me all the way home. I almost drove off the road a few times gawking at it.
