summer is deceptive

Summer is deceptive. It seems like you will have miles of silken time stretching out in front of you to weave into art and genius and personal growth. But what happens is you spend a good portion of this supposed free time catching up on all of the things you pushed to the back burner for "when there is more time". Well, now there is more time and you've spent it already.

Off to the Cape this weekend and hopefully some unproductive down-time. The whole family will be there. Jon and Bowie and I will have our own little studio apartment.

Hopefully I will be better at updating the blog from here on out. Oh and I'll be updating my website, and writing a syllabus, and....

I had just gotten soaked in sweat at the gym, then I got soaked in a 15 minute downpour while walking to my car. After a bit of sputtering I had to laugh.
