My first year of grad school is ending and I can't even fathom how I would have survived it without Jon's constant support and love. He is truly an amazing partner.

This is my studio flat file/coffee table (thank you Jon!). I actually printed all of my photos, numbered them, and put them in booklets so I could see what the heck I've been doing. It's turning out to be very helpful!

ugly pictures?

So it has been suggested that perhaps I should take some ugly pictures to break the habit of taking beautiful pictures. In taking these I realized that ugly is as subjective as beauty, and that my idea of an ugly picture is a picture without intention.

Bowie wasn't quite sure how to take the ocean. She barked at some driftwood for awhile and mostly stayed away from the water. Jon's explanation is best: "Now she knows how small she is."
